There have been many rumors flying around about when the Samsung Galaxy S II will be released, and now we're on an official track.

The Galaxy S II, which was unveiled back in February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, will debut on May 1st - at least in the United Kingdom. Pricing wasn't pinpointed, but the Android 2.3-based device will be sold by "all major networks and retailers." Additionally, the dual-core 1.2GHz processor was reconfirmed.

Unfortunately, there haven't been announcements regarding the rest of the global launch plan, including release details for the United States, other than the Samsung Tomorrow tweet citing that the roll out would begin this month.
