Samsung moves to block Apple products in US

Summary:The company has filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission to ban US imports of Apple products

Samsung Electronics said late on Wednesday night that it has filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission to ban US imports of Apple products.

It is the latest move in a legal battle between the two companies over Apple's alleged violation of five patents pertaining to wireless communications standards and mobile user interfaces.

The request, which was filed on Tuesday, specifically requests a permanent exclusion order prohibiting US entry of all Apple products in violation of the patents, including its most popular items: the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Samsung previously filed suit against Apple in both the US and South Korea.
