Samsung may unveil an Galaxy S4 Mini at a launch event in London scheduled for 20 June.

The source of the speculation are leaked images from Samsung's own website (since removed) showing apps for an Samsung S4 Mini with the model number GT-9195.

Citing a person with knowledge of the matter, the Wall Street Journal reported that the device will likely be one of several products Samsung announces at the event in London's Earl's Court exhibition centre in June.

Samsung announced last week that the Earl's Court event would feature new additions to its Galaxy Android products and its Windows line of Ativ devices, which so far include a Windows Phone 8 Ativ smartphone, Windows RT Ativ tablets, and hybrid PC-tablets called Ativ Smart PCs.

The launch of a mini version of Samsung's 5-inch Galaxy S4 in itself would not be surprising given its Galaxy S3 mini, which arrived soon after the full-size S3, but whether it will be unveiled in London remains to be seen. ZDNet has asked Samsung for comment and will update the story if it receives one.

The S3 mini offered a cheaper, 4-inch display on a lower-specced hardware priced at £300, while the fully-flegded S3 came in at £400 with a 4.8-inch display.

Recent leaked images allegedly of the S4 Mini meanwhile suggest it could have a 4.3-inch display with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 8 megapixel camera.
