Sega America names Moore president and COO

Game-system maker Sega Enterprises Ltd. on Monday announced the promotion of Peter Moore from senior vice president to president and chief operating officer of Sega of America Dreamcast Inc. -- one of two Sega (segny) companies created by the company's recent split. Moore's responsibilities will include directing Sega's console and online gaming businesses in North America, including all product and business development, marketing, sales, operations and content. Sega now claims an installed base of 2 million and 15 percent market share in the $7 billion U.S. video game industry. It recently split into the game company and another firm focused on online gaming, Sega.com Inc. -- Robert Lemos, ZDNet News
