ServiceNow's Cloud Management suite now supports Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

The company's Cloud Management tools had managed private infrastructure as well as Amazon Web Services.

With Azure support, ServiceNow Cloud Management provides:

  • One system to automate private and public cloud management.
  • Cloud infrastructure templates for self-service requests and provisioning.
  • One security model.
  • Tools to manage total cost of ownership as well as governance and compliance requirements.

Mike Nappi, senior director IT product management, said Cloud Management initially started off supporting virtual machine provisioning in VMware and AWS through its service catalog.

From there, Nappi said ServiceNow beefed up its management tools for AWS coverage. By adding Azure and the recent acquisition of iPath, Nappi said the company will be adding support for more public cloud providers in the future.
