Fresh from a trip to the 3GSM Conference in Barcelona, All About Symbian blogger Rafe Blandford has proven himself mighty handy with his digital camera.

Rafe's posted some shots of Skype apps running on the Symbian OS-powered Nokia S6680 S60 handsets being showcased there. The demo showed these phones being used for Skype text chat, Skype PC to PC and PC to handset calls, as well as Skype Out dialing.

As to performance, Rafe writes that running Skype over a 3G connection from the Nokia S6680 produces a noticable latency of about a second.

"It is the equivalent to calling your granny on (the) other side of the world via a satellite phone," Rafe writes. "It does work, but it is annoying and I cannot see most people being willing to put up with it."

OK, that leads me to a good question for some TalkBacks. How much latency will you put up with in order to use Skype over your handset- Symbiam or other OS?
