Slacker Radio joins a growing list of iPhone streaming music apps

Summary:I don't have a huge music collection so I tend to use the online streaming music services quite a bit. Slacker Mobile for BlackBerry devices was announced last week at CES and now you can pick up Slacker Mobile for the iPhone for free on the App Store. Slacker Mobile lets you listen to over 100 Slacker stations, over 10,000 artist stations, and a ton more custom-created stations.

Slacker Mobile lets you listen to over 100 Slacker stations, over 10,000 artist stations, and a ton more custom-created stations.

Some of the features of Slacker Mobile for iPhone include free music library with millions of songs, album art, artist biographies and photos, pause and skip songs, rate songs as favorites, and ban the songs and artists you don't like.

Slacker Mobile joins a rather large collection of applications on the iPhone that let you enjoy music for free. Available applications include Pandora Radio, AOL Radio, FlyCast Mobile, Last.fm, and SHOUTcast Radio. There are also a few streaming applications that will cost you some money and these include Pocket Tunes Radio and Wunder Radio. I have been quite happy with the free solutions myself, but would also pay for an application if it offered features above and beyond the free ones. What is your favorite streaming music application and why do you like it?
