After graduating from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a degree in Marketing, Operations and International Business, Ryan returned to join his family business in 1998 to run the flowers and gfts department. Peter Ho is the managing director of Precision Valve Singapore, an aerosol valve manufacturing company in Singapore. It is the Singapore subsidiary of a US multinational company. He is also a vice president of The Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa) as well as the Chairman of Function Committee, Information Technology and Technology Development. Peter is the founding Chairman of the Singapore e-Supply Chain Management Council. Currently, he is also a Member of the Singapore National Trust Council.

Jocelyn Chng runs Sin Hwa Dee Foodstuff Industries, a manufacturer of well-known sauces. From its humble beginnings as a producer of soya and oyster sauces, bean paste and plum paste, Sin Hwa Dee has since developed into a high-tech food company. Jocelyn leads and manages a team of 50 staff as well as local and overseas distributors and agents. She received the Montblanc Businesswomen Award 2003 and the Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 award organised by ASME.

Poh Choon Lay is responsible for providing direction and support to Accord’s operating divisions to optimize operational effectiveness. As country manager, Poh is responsible for the overall performance of the Singapore office. Prior to joining Accord, Choon Lay was the strategic development director of a global logistics provider, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and development of that company’s business in Asia Pacific. Before that, Poh spent more than 11 years with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), where his last position was head of Logistics/Supply Chain Management of the Services Development Division.

Thomas Fernandez was trained in Pest Management in the United States. He founded PestBusters in 1991 and developed a franchise system, the first to branch out into Cambodia and Vietnam. He has led PestBusters to several firsts, including being the first pest control company in Singapore to be supported by the National Science and Technology Board for R& D in pest management. He is the founder of the Singapore Pest Control Association and served as Chairman of the first and second International Pest Control Convention in Singapore. He is also a council member of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Dennis Mark heads HP’s Asia-Pacific operations for Commercial Accounts and the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment. Within the SMB customer segment, Dennis oversees HP’s portfolio of offerings and works together with HP partners to create stronger customer value. Prior to this appointment, Dennis was the General Manager of Personal Systems Group (PSG) for HP Singapore. A veteran in the IT industry, Dennis has more than 16 years of experience, of which 14 years were spent in HP.

Damien Wong is responsible for driving the strategic growth of META Group’s Singapore operations in terms of increasing revenue, improving profitability and enhancing mind share among targeted client segments. Wong was previously deputy director (Corporate Services) for the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), the infocomm research arm of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Prior to his appointment at I2R, Wong was the chief operating officer with Avosys International. Wong’s other previous positions include regional vice president (Marketing & Business Development) with Firium Solutions Asia Pacific, vice president (Business Development) with Liahoni Consulting, and consultant with Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture).

Based in India, Pranav tracks the Enterprise Application Software market, in particular Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) throughout the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan). He is responsible for driving primary and secondary research on the sector and analyzing developments in this market. As research director, Pranav is responsible for writing research reports, providing insights to Gartner clients through one-on-one meetings and addressing ad-hoc queries. Prior to joining Gartner India, Pranav worked with EIU India as Vice President where he conducted extensive research on the impact of business environment in India including economic, political and social developments on industries and enterprises.

Anurag Agrawal is chief operating officer of Access Markets International (AMI) Partners, a consulting organization focusing on emerging markets and technologies. He has more than 18 years of experience in several areas, including IT industry market research, strategic planning, demand and supply side integration, and international operations. Most recently, Agrawal was senior vice president for Operations with consumer market intelligence company Knowledge Networks. He has also served in various positions with Gartner and IDC.

Lau Tong Yen manages the Asia-Pacific Small and Medium Business (SMB) Markets continuous information service program for IDC Asia-Pacific. Lau examines and identifies the IT expenditure patterns of SMBs in the Asia-Pacific. Before this role, Tong Yen was managing IDC's Asia-Pacific Local Area Networks tracker as well as IDC's Asia-Pacific Enterprise Networks continuous information service program. She was also involved in the pioneering research of IDC's Asia-Pacific Wide Area Networks tracker. She has also participated in consulting projects to assist clients in the development of their strategic roadmaps, target segments as well as market and product positioning in the networking arena.
