Sony brings HBO programming to PlayStation 3 and PSP

Summary:Sony has announced that HBO content will be offered on the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

Gaming console makers are starting to offer access to much more than just Netflix these days. Now Sony has announced that HBO content will be offered on the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

These two consoles are the first gaming platforms to provide access to HBO original programming in the U.S. PlayStation owners who want to take a break from Final Fantasy XIII can navigate over to the PlayStation Network Store purchase episodes of current HBO shows like True Blood. Or you can catch up on old favorites like Flight of the Conchords and The Wire instantly.

Unfortunately, not everything you'd want is ready yet (i.e. there are only two seasons of Entourage available so far). But Sony says that additional episodes and titles will be added weekly, so keep checking.
