Star Trek Enterprise Pizza Cutter makes pizza cutting geeky

Boldy go where no pizza cutter has gone before
Written by Joel Evans, Contributor

Sometimes I get a request to review a product that I just can't resist. The latest instance of that came from ThinkGeek's PR folks and teased a pizza cutter that definitely qualifies as one of the more unique ones I've seen.

As you can see from the picture above, and from the title of this article, the Star Trek Enterprise Pizza Cutter is shaped like the Starship Enterprise.

So, how do you review a pizza cutter? By cutting into pizza, of course. I also decided that since it was shaped like a space ship, I'd involve my six year old. You can see in the video below that moments into cutting he decided to write his name with the pizza cutter and not actually cut the pizza. Believe me when I tell you that this pizza cutter is one of the sharpest I've seen.

As for the starship Enterprise pizza cutter, it's stainless steel, with a zinc-alloy chromium plated body. The folks at ThinkGeek even went to the effort of etching the NCC-1701 into the blade.

The Star Trek Enterprise Pizza Cutter is a great gift for any sci-fi fan in your life. It's currently selling for $24.99 and comes in a great gift box. What's most important, though, is that it will make pizza cutting even more fun, especially if you have younger kids or a sci-fi geek around.
