Start IT up: GetListed

Summary:Does budding recruitment start-up GetListed have what it takes to succeed in the dog-eat-dog start-up world?

In this new video series ZDNet Australia looks to Australian entrepreneurs to hear about their technology-based business ideas. Host Phil Dobbie talks to the founders, dissects their ideas and gives viewers the chance to vote on whether it will be a hit or a miss.

The series starts with Bosco Tan, co-founder and CEO at GetListed.me. This new venture works on the principle that recruiters will find the best person for a job by leveraging their own online network. Rather than relying on the judgment of recruitment agencies, employers can call on the recommendations of personal connections.

It seems like a good idea, but will it work in practice? Does it have a sustainable business model? Watch the video and let us know what you think by voting in the poll below.

Do you have a great technology idea? Something that’s in the start-up phase or already in the early stages of operation? Would you like to share your concept with the ZDNet audience? It’ll give you some early exposure, and could be a useful sounding board — ZDNet readers are rarely backwards when it comes to saying what they think.
