Stuart Hughes bestows golden touch to iPad with 'Supreme Edition'

If you thought the iPad was blindingly shiny and pretty before, someone has taken this to a whole other level of crazy.

UK brand Stuart Hughes, known for taking plain gadgets and making them luxe, has brought their signature magic to the iPad, giving it a golden makeover and a new title: the Supreme edition.

The Supreme edition is only available in the Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB edition of the iPad. Not only is the 9.7-inch tablet computer given a 22ct gold plating, the Apple logo on the back of the iPad is encrusted with 53 "sparkling" gems. If you're looking for some extra sparkle on your iPad, you could probably save some money and bedazzle it yourself.

By definition, luxury is not cheap. So if you thought the 3G 64GB iPad was a bit expensive at $829, behold the Supreme Edition's price tag of £129,995 ($192,041). Is it worth it? I'm going to say no.
