SuccessFactors steps up SMB focus

SuccessFactors on Monday said it is launching a version of its Business Execution suite designed for small businesses.

The BizX Professional Edition is designed to allow small businesses to manage and hire employees, set goals and link performance to operating metrics.

Typically, SuccessFactors’ on-demand human capital management software has been adopted at larger enterprises. By moving downstream, SuccessFactors is looking to tap into a growth market.

The Web-based Professional Edition will allow small businesses to customize as needed, track development plans for each worker, maintain feedback loops and recruit better.

SuccessFactors said it will also launch an e-learning effort for small businesses installing human resources software for the first time. There will also be a bundle called SuccessPractices to highlight best practices and analytics for small businesses.
