Enterprise technology administrators are planning to increase the number of Macs they deploy, according to a survey by the Enterprise Desktop Alliance.

The group surveyed 500 IT administrators and based its data on the 322 respondents that had both Macs and PCs deployed. Among the group that had both Macs and PCs, 66 percent of them said they expected to increase the numbers of Macs in the company.

The primary reasons were user preference, technical support and productivity.

Among the 322 respondents that said they would increase Mac adoptions, 79 percent said file sharing and security were very important to them.
