Symantec floats Web site authoring tool
Symantec is swimming into the crowded waters of Web site authoring tools.
Visual Page is a HTML editor for Windows 95 and NT that lets users compose Web pages with a drag-and-drop user interface and source code editor. It is aimed at both novice and expert developers.
Symantec faces a tough challenge as Microsoft includes its competing FrontPage in Office, and both Netscape and Microsoft include 'lite' Web page design tools with their Internet clients.
A beta is available for free download. The shipping product will list for £69.
