Security software provider Symantec on Tuesday released an enterprise mobility management suite that it says enables users to better enforce security standards.

Symantec has made several acquisitions of mobile management tools in recent years and says its latest incarnation is the result of the combined products.

Touted by Symantec as its most significant mobile management release to date, the EMM suite integrates mobile device management, mobile application development and mobile threat protection into a single console.

Other key features include support for multiple device platforms, including Android, iOS and Windows; app-wrapping technologies that separate corporate and personal data; and tools to distribute in-house or third party apps to employees and authorized contractors.

Symantec also stepped up its user experience with Mobility Suite, saying it gives users not only a more modern look and feel but also faster response times. The security software firm said it has more user experience improvements planned for later release.
