T-Mobile USA is trying to outscore AT&T and Verizon with a brand new unlimited calling, texting and data plan.

Dubbed the "Even More" plan, subscribers will get all of the above for "just" $79.99 per month, not including taxes or any fees tied to buying a smartphone. Don't forget that a two-year service contract is required. Interested customers can sign up immediately.

If you really plan to take full advantage of the "unlimited" aspect (especially when it comes to 4G data if you're a frequent traveler), then perhaps you can justify paying $80 per month for your phone bill. It's also only worth it if you live in an area that is covered by T-Mobile's HSPA+ 4G network. That would be a high price to pay for 3G coverage.

Nevertheless, T-Mobile boasts that a customer could "save more than $350 per year on an unlimited smartphone plan" with this option than similar ones from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

However, we'll have to wait and see if these plans are valid and/or stay in place if the merger with AT&T goes through. AT&T already has its own unlimited calling and texting plans, and the data plan has been downsized from unlimited to 200MB, 2GB and 4GB options. Still sizable, but not unlimited.
