In just under a month, Telstra has sold over 100,000 iPhone 5s in Australia, Telstra CEO David Thodey told shareholders today.
Speaking at the company's annual general meeting in Melbourne today, Thodey said that since, Telstra had sold over 100,000 iPhone 5s, and the first day after the launch was Telstra's biggest trading day on record.
In addition to the iPhone 5, Telstra already has over 500,000 active 4G long-term evolution (LTE) services active on its network, which currently covers 40 percent of the Australian population.

Thodey reiterated the company's plans to have its network reach 66 percent of the Australian population by June 2013, as part of a AU$1.2 billion investment this financial year in 4G.
Telstra has over 13 million mobile customers today, having added 1.6 million in the last financial year.
