iVNO, a wholly owned subsidiary of the iVNX Group, has signed an agreement for pre-paid mobile services with Telstra Wholesale.

Under the contract, iVNO will supply these services to consumers under multiple brand names.

iVNX Group CEO Thomas Derum said this will agreement will enable brands to offer mobile products and value added services to their markets.

"As an integrated virtual network operator ... we empower brands to monetise their customer base, generate ancillary revenue streams, and enhance customer experience and brand loyalty," he said.

"Our customers and brand partnerships demand quality, reliability and dependability and we are pleased to be able to deliver these services using parts of Telstra's 3G network.

The partnership was initially under wraps when iVNO was first established last month, as part of the company restructure. The overhaul saw iTelecom Wholesale, a wholesaler to communication service providers, launch iVNX Group as the new parent company responsible for all corporate functions, and the acquisition of iVNE by iVNX.

Derum said at the time that iVNO has signed agreements with three brands to allow it to operate and offer prepaid mobile services under each brands' trademarks, and distribute it through over 150 retail stores across Australia.

Telstra Wholesale group executive Stuart Lee said the company was delighted to announce the new agreement, which is part of a continued focus on mobiles.

"We're supporting mobile virtual network operators like iVNO to enable the launch of their mobile services to targeted segments in the Australian market," he said.

"We continue to invest in our wholesale mobile platform. We recently added post-paid capability and in the coming weeks we will make available higher speeds and better coverage on our wholesale product."

iVNO will also shortly launch its first branded prepay mobile service called CoMobile, a trademark of the Co-op, aimed at the student and youth market, one of three distinct market segments the company aims to target. iVNO trading as CoMobile will offer prepaid mobile services that will use part of Telstra's 3G mobile network. It will be available throughout the Co-op's 53 retail stores across Australia and online.
