The perils of information overload

Employees from technology companies including Intel, Microsoft, IBM, and Google have banded together to combat information overload, which they call "the world's greatest challenge to productivity." As the new nonprofit Information Overload Research Group gets off the ground, CNET News intern Holly Jackson hit the streets of San Francisco to find out just how information inundation impacts consumers' professional and personal lives.
