It is not exactly news that people can steal data if they have access to it. But it is true that enhanced access makes data theft more likely. A case in point is a proof of concept program written by this blogger called slurp.exe that when installed on an iPod allows it to glean particular file types from the machine it is connected to. A pretty convenient way of backing up your Microsoft Office documents! Or, a great way to steal data. The author dubs the process Pod-Slurping, which is a great term.
