Thursby ships DAVE update

Thursby Software Systems Inc. said it is now shipping Version 2.0 of DAVE, its tool for sharing printers and files across platforms.

With the revision, users on Windows machines can mount Mac volumes and access Mac files. Windows users can also print to Mac PostScript printers through the update. The initial version just let Macs access Windows machines.

In addition, with Version 2.0 Mac users can connect to each other over the Internet via TCP/IP.

Thursby said the networking tool is scritable via Apple events.

DAVE 2.0 normally costs $149, Thursby said, but users can purchase it for $119 until March 1.
