Travelport has hired Alexandra Fitzpatrick as the new general manager for the Pacific region.
The company provides transaction processing technology, along with other business services, to the travel industry.
Fitzpatrick's role will be based in Travelports Pacific region headquarters, in Sydney. She will report to the company's Asia-Pacific managing director, Simon Nowroz, who praised Fitzpatrick's "strong network of connections" in the travel industry.
Fitzpatrick has previously worked for Travel Management Solutions in London and was a product manager for Galileo, a computer reservation system now owned by Travelport.
"It's an exciting time to be re-joining the travel technology sector, as new, game changing technology sets a new pace in travel distribution," Fitzpatrick said in a statement.
Her responsibilities will include driving growth across the Pacific region, and supporting deployment of new Travelport technology to customers.
Travelport is a part owner of online travel company Orbitz Worldwide.
