Twilio on Tuesday launched an application programming interface called Voice Insights that will allow developers to monitor and adjust for call quality.

Voice Insights will allow developers to track device and network performance during WebRTC calls and adjust their applications.

In addition, Twilio said it has acquired WebRTC media processing technologies from the team behind the Kurento Open Source Project.

Voice Insights will monitor real-time call quality warnings and allow the API to tell users what to do.

The API will also create a dashboard in the Twilio Console and show device and network performance. WebRTC performance will also be pumped into analytics to track Android and Apple iOS devices.
