Twitter on a mobile; What are you doing?

Twitter is a free social networking service that works on any text messaging enabled mobile phone or web browser. Let friends, family, and others know what you are up to and meet up with buddies along the way. You may even find out what people are doing before you read about it in a blog.

Twitter
I signed up for a Twitter account way back in July, but only used it a few times to stay in touch with my online buddy Josh Bancroft. Twitter is becoming more popular and more and more people are discovering this free social networking service, including Robert Scoble. As you can see in the link to Scoble's site he found out about something going on at Microsoft through a Twitter entry. This may prompt more people to keep on eye out on what people are doing.

Twitter is a way to find out what people are doing throughout the day since it allows people to use text messaging or the internet through a browser to post their status. You can get updates on your friends right on your mobile and it really can be a lot of fun. I imagine it will be an awesome tool at CES this year where the show floor is in two buildings and I want to keep in contact with a few friends to meet up along the way. Check out the Twitter blog for lots of discussion on the service and feel free to see what I am up to.
