UK and Ireland venture investments totalled 464 mln pounds in 2004

Venture capital investment in the UK and Ireland is growing, with over 464 mln pounds invested in 2004 in young startups. Ivestments in the wireless technology sector more than doubled in 2004 from 40 mln pounds in 2003, to over 100 mln in 2004. There was also saw a doubling in activity in deals at the sub-500,000 pound level.
