UK: Mobile Internet up, SMS stable

British mobile phone users downloaded an average 28.5 million Internet pages per day to their phones in August, or more than three times the level of one year ago. The numbers will come as some relief to mobile network operators as the number of text messages remained stuck around the 55 million mark for the seventh month in a row, after years of solid growth.
