Dion Hinchcliffe here on ZDNet has a fantastic post titled "The coming RIA wars: A roundup of the Web's new face". It covers everything from Ajax to OpenLaszlo and breaks things down very nicely.

  • Dion Hinchcliffe here on ZDNet has a fantastic post titled "The coming RIA wars: A roundup of the Web's new face". It covers everything from Ajax to OpenLaszlo and breaks things down very nicely. I can't wait to see the comments.
  • Adobe's Apollo project is getting some attention at SAP TechEd in Las Vegas. Matthias Zeller is presenting a session titled " Next Generation of Client Technology for SAP" with Marco Ertel. David O'Malley helped convince me that enterprises will be the first to adopt Rich Internet Applications. SAP seems to be doing that with their Project Muse.
  • Lastly, some followup to last weeks Web vs Desktop applications. Om Malik chimed in on his podcast. Obviously, I think that RIAs fit in the middle, and that companies like Adobe and Microsoft are building out platforms to handle almost any need out there. We should all be able to move seamlessly from the desktop to the web, and RIA technologies enable that.

Everybody have a great morning. I've got to get on my fantasy football waivers.
