A Masters course to prepare tomorrow's chief information officers for the technological, commercial and managerial challenges ahead of them will launch this September, at the Centre for Information Leadership, part of City University in London.

According to the director of the centre, David Chan, the course is "looking for people who want to be information leaders", in roles including chief information officer, director of business transformation, director of programmes and chief librarian.

The Masters in Information Leadership (MIL) course has been designed for professionals — including tech workers in the financial, retail or public sectors — with at least three to five years' experience in business-facing IT management or consultancy roles.
