US News Burst: Toshiba starts British lab

Toshiba said Thursday that it would set up a telecommunications lab in Bristol. The Telecommunications Research Lab will research digital cellular and wireless access technologies. It will have a research and development budget of about $16m (£9.75m) in the first five years.
