UXC acquires SAP consultancy firm Stream

Summary:UXC has snapped up SAP consultancy firm Stream to strengthen its play in the SAP market.

Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Oxygen Business Solutions, UXC has acquired SAP consultancy firm Stream Technologies.

Stream was established in 2006 with 40 staff, and offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Its annual revenue is approximately AU$10 million.

Oxygen Businesses Solutions is an integrator of SAP software and services, so the acquisition complements the company. Stream will be operating as part of a unit within Oxygen.

"The combined entity will be very balanced in terms of its geographical reach and sector strengths, and will enable Oxygen to further extend its portfolio of services to clients and provide improved delivery capability across the enterprise and medium sized market," UXC managing director Cris Nicolli said in a statement. "The addition of the Stream customer base will provide a significant increase in software support revenue, which is also a key objective for UXC."

It also shows that UXC is further investing in the SAP market, in line with what the IT consultancy company has done with Oracle and Microsoft.

The Stream team will report to Oxygen CEO Stuart Dickenson.

UXC was unable to provide the value of the acquisition at the time of publication.

The acquisition is set to be completed next week.
