UXC wins Linfox, other deals

Australian IT services company UXC today revealed it had won several major contracts, with the stand-out being a comprehensive technology outsourcing arrangement with freight company Linfox.

in brief Australian IT services company UXC today revealed it had won several major contracts, with the stand-out being a comprehensive technology outsourcing arrangement with freight company Linfox.

The Linfox deal, won by recent UXC acquisition Getronics Australia, is a three-year deal covering service desk, desktop support, local area network management, network management and datacentre services, as well as support with ongoing infrastructure projects.

UXC subsidiary Integ has picked up a four-year IP telephony and unified communications contract with the Federal Attorney-General's Department, while another subsidiary, Eclipse Computing, has won deals to supply Brisbane Catholic Education and Fantastic Furniture with Microsoft's Dynamics financial software.

UXC said it had also recently inked deals with Toll Holdings, Fosters and L'Oreal, although further information was not immediately available.
