Need a little monetary incentive to convince the money people to install more energy-efficient servers? Verari Systems, which sells high-density storage and server blades, just started an Energy Credit Incentive Program that could help companies claim back up to $500,000 in energy credits from their local utility.

Basically, Verari has written an application that helps calculate the information about future energy savings and averted greenhouse gas emissions that utilities need to see in order to grant energy credits. Verari figures that by helping potential customers apply for and win these rebates, it has a better chance of closing deals. The company's flagship products include the Verari BladeRack 2 X-Series and the Forest Container technology, both of which use Verari's patented Vertical Cooling Technology.

The new incentive program complements the Verari Green Leasing program I wrote about last month.
