If you have been waiting for the Novatel 4G (LTE) MiFi to become available on the Verizon network, your wait is over. According to the folks at Novatel the MiFi 4510L 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot (who thinks up these long names for tiny devices?) is up for sale today on the Verizon online store and will be available in Verizon retail outlets on April 21.
The Novatel MiFi taps into the super-fast Verizon 4G network and dishes it out over WiFi to up to 5 devices over a personal hotspot. Unlike the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot that I am using, the Novatel MiFi supports VPN to access corporate environments. The Novatel 4G MiFi costs $99.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and service starts at $50 monthly for a 5GB 4G data plan. I'll have one of these shortly to do a comparison with the Samsung model from Verizon.
