Last week, the pre-sale for the HP Pre 2 slider phone commenced. However, there are two different price tags floating around.

HP's online store states that the Pre 2 will cost $99.99 after mail-in rebates and with the signing of a two-year service agreement with Verizon Wireless.

Verizon, on the other hand, seems to want more money for the webOS handheld. According to a press release, Verizon will be charging $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with the service contract.

There's no reason for the gap between the two prices, but if you're in the market for a Pre 2, it's a no brainer as to where you should buy it once the Pre 2 is available on February 17.
