Verizon Wireless has just rolled out a flavor of its $59.99 and up (and up) America's Choice Select plan that provides for Unlimited Messaging.

Verizon BlackBerrys, such as that BlackBerry 8703e at the top of this post, are included.

The plans incorporate unlimited Text, Picture, Video Messaging and Instant Messaging to any Verizon phone capable of performing some or all of these features.

To hear Verizon's take, there's solid business reasons behind this largesse.

"Text messaging has moved from being a nice feature to a necessity for many customers," said Verizon Wireless consumer marketing director Jim Naughton in a statement this morning. With the Quick Text features on many devices today, more and more professionals are using the service, in addition to the many teenagers who depend on text messaging for fast communications.”

Unlimited Messaging is just a *611 away from your BlackBerry or other Verizon Wireless phone.
