ViewSonic raises resolution stakes with Mega Monitor

Monitor specialist ViewSonic upped the monitor resolution stakes this week, claiming its 21-inch monitor has the world's highest resolution.

The 21-inch P815 Mega Monitor (£1,440 + VAT) boasts a resolution of 1856 x 1392 at 75Hz (or 1600 x 1200 at 93Hz) and is aimed at high-end document imaging and CAD users. The device is PC and Macintosh compatible and uses graphics card company Artist Graphics' NetVision 2500i display controller to achieve the higher resolutions. The unit also has a 0.25mm dot pitch and 250MHz video bandwidth.
