Viztel clinches Indonesian voice-enabling deal

KUALA LUMPUR--Speech and wireless solutions provider Viztel Solutions Sdn Bhd has won a contract from Indonesia's PT Kasana Teknindo Gemilang to voice-enable their office system.

In a statement on Monday Viztel said it will install the company's Speech Junction which has features like voice-enabled Auto Attendant, Follow Me telephony, Information Retrieval and Voicemail for PT Kasana.

PT Kasana, a distributor of heavy equipment, primarily materials handling equipment for the Indonesian market, is Viztel's first client in Indonesia. Viztel's chief executive officer Lau Kin Wai said the system which supports English and Bahasa Indonesia will be installed, tested and delivered within a month.

The project is expected to open doors to the Indonesian market for Viztel.

PT Kasana's shareholders are related to PT Bank Buana Indonesia TBK and the Rodamas Group, the statement added.

An MSC-status company based in Kuala Lumpur, Viztel has operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and the United States. It is funded by private equity and by GEM Hong Kong listed techpacific.com.ltd.
