VNU and internet.com join forces
Online technology publishers internet.com and VNU are to join forces it is announced Monday.
The two companies are to launch Web sites in the UK, Scandinavia, Spain, France, Belgium and Germany early next year. Linking the new sites to established VNU sites will drive traffic believes internet.com's CEO Alan Meckler.
According to a recent Morgan Stanley Dean Witter survey, Internet penetration in Europe is set to triple, from 33.5 million users in 1998 to 100 million by 2003.
