Vocus Communications has reported that its acquisitions throughout the year have helped driven an overall increase in its financial results for the full year ended June 30, 2015.

During the year, the company completed the acquisitions of FX Networks in New Zealand for AU$107.7 million, and ASG's Bentley datacentre for AU$11.7 million.

As a result, the company said revenue during the full year increased by 62 percent to AU$149.8 million, while underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 56 percent to AU$51.6 million. Underlying net profit after tax also saw a 34 percent boost to AU$18.1 million.

All divisions also showed significant revenue growth. The company indicated the fastest growing segment was its fibre/Ethernet network, up 129 percent to AU$64.5 million. Vocus boasted its fibre network now reaches over 3,315 buildings, with its network extending for 1,606 kilometres in Australia and 4,369 kilometres in New Zealand.

Among its other divisions, voice increased its revenue by 67 percent to AU$12.3 million; datacentre revenue was up 43 percent to AU$26.6 million with 15 facilities across 11 sites; and internet revenue was up 17 percent to AU$43.9 million, despite experiencing a price decline.

Vocus also acquired the remainder of Amcom Telecommunications but completed the deal after the year ended, and said the acquisition was not included in the FY15 results.

Vocus CEO James Spenceley said the 2015 financial year was another year of impressive growth for the group.

"We successfully executed our continuing growth strategy during the year, with the acquisition of FX Networks in New Zealand and the Bentley/EDC datacentres in Australia. The acquisition of Amcom in July sets us up for another great year in FY16."
