Advanced IP Pipeline's just posted a provocative interview with Vonage CEO Jeff Citron.

In it, he expresses strong reservations that even if the FCC dictates that telcos offer 911 infrastructure access to VoIP providers, such uniform standards would likely not be in place all that quickly.

For that reason, Citron says that "sometime this summer," Vonage will alter its registration format to offer a 911 "opt-out" for its customers.
