Summary:Western Australia's Department of Education has entered into a deal with ASG to help restructure its Oracle licences for its systems.

The Department of Education in Western Australia has awarded ASG Group with a $14.8 million contract to help improve its existing technology investments.

The department has made a number of investments in Oracle technology, some of which are responsible for mission critical systems. Over the next five years, ASG will provide the department with strategic support for these systems, as well as assist in restructuring the department's current licences.

ASG has worked with the department on its finance, HR, payroll, and project services since 2006, and currently supplies the department with all of its Oracle licences.

ASG CEO Geoff Lewis said that the deal could lead to further projects with the department in the future, or serve as an example for other organisations that wish to restructure their Oracle licences.
