Kuala Lumpur, 18 Nov. - wanita.net, a women’s website for global Chinese Internet users and a wholly owned unit of Mediawave Interactive Sdn Bhd from Malaysia, has a business partnership agreement with AIP Corporation from Japan, which would allow wanita.net and AIP to jointly conduct surveys over the Internet.

wanita.net will integrate AIP’s revolutionary online survey system called MARS (Marketing Analysis Research System) into its site. This would speed up and smoothen the process of carrying out Internet surveys on identifiable target groups.

The foreign partnership is the first of its kind for wanita.net. "Being selected by AIP Japan as a business partner is very natural as we are already proficient in this area," said Gary Ng, current Managing Director of Mediawave Interactive Sdn Bhd. "We have been conducting online survey on topics of interests to Asian women through our website all the while," explained Gary Ng. "Having AIP as our partner only reinforces our capability to do just that."

The partnership would also allow AIP to conduct online surveys beyond its home base in Japan. This is consistent with AIP’s strategy of developing multilingual survey targetting online audience over the Internet in the Asian region.

About wanita.net
wanita.net provides original content, tools and interactive services for Chinese literate women in Asia, an increasingly significant and fast-growing segment of online audience. Since its December 1998 launch, wanita.net has built a women-oriented community over the Internet in Asia with more than 60,000 visitors each month.

About AIP, Japan
Founded in 1997 to meet the growing demand for Internet surveys, AIP is an online network which has developed MARS to provide multilingual Internet surveys for businesses seeking to conduct market research on online audience. Based in Tokyo, AIP was set up with an initial paid up capital of 50 million yen. Hakuhodo, Shiseido, Dentsu, Mitsui, Mitsubishi, Reuters and Asian ISPs are some of AIP’s current customers.
