A seller who goes by the handle "fearwall" started auctioning a Microsoft Excel vulnerability on Wednesday, and it reached $56 before eBay shut it down.  The item description included information on the vulnerability and noted that Microsoft was alerted to the details of the flaw.  Fearwall sweetened the auction by giving Microsoft employees a 10-percent discount on the item, and the winning bidder was encouraged to use the exploit only for research and educational purposes. Nothing surprising, other than that someone would put the item on eBay...
