Was China the homeland of East Anglia hackers?

Latest info on the East Anglia hacking.

One British publication is saying there's evidence China is home of the hacker(s) behind release of emails and docs on global warming. These were the docs from the University of East Anglia's climate research center. The docs were released in November and GW doubters quickly trumpeted the emails as proof that GW is a hoax or based on fraudulent science.

There is apparently proof that the stolen documents were sent to a Siberian-based server via an open server in Malaysia. That company is a main artery for email and Internet communication from China.
