Webvisions Pte Ltd and F5 Networks today announced a strategic alliance to deliver high-performance traffic and content management solutions for mission-critical Internet applications.

SINGAPORE, 14 July 2000 – Webvisions, a Singapore Web hosting company, will offer Internet traffic and content management products provider, F5 Networks’ 3-DNS and BIG-IP products to meet customer demand for high-powered, reliable and scalable Internet hosting solutions.

F5 Networks’ 3-DNS and BIG-IP will be offered as part of Webvisions’ managed services line that include firewall management, system backup and administration, e-commerce gateways and content aggregation.

With 3-DNS enterprises, service providers and global e-commerce companies are expected to be able to deliver rich and dynamic content faster and more reliably to end users and customers - regardless of where they are located.

The BIG-IP Content Switch is built on Intel’s IXP1200 network processor and combines advanced software capabilities including SSL management, HTTP header load-balancing, and URL parsing to offer businesses an advanced way to intelligently manage Internet content and high volumes of traffic at available line speeds.

"F5’s next generation offerings are definitely on target to help organisations manage their e-infrastructure cost-effectively,” said Leigh Wilson, F5 Networks’ managing director (Asia Pacific).
