Welcome to SmartPlanet’s newest blog, Intelligent Energy!
Alternative fuels, renewable energy, the smart grid: what do these terms mean to you? Energy is the very current that drives change in our world, and makes many of our scientific and technological innovations possible.
But how long can we sustain our current approach? Whether finding new ways to save energy through design and innovation or simply getting more from our current oil reserves, we'll need to know what's needed to deploy these technologies -- and what return on investment we should expect.
Melissa Mahony will lead us there.
Melissa is a freelance science journalist and former writer and editor for Wildlife Conservation magazine.
