OK - here's the pitch. We need two PHP developers to keep the great web machinery of our company running sweetly. Not just our machinery either; we're part of an international network of sites that feed the world with a truly gorgeous mass of content on a breathtaking range of subjects, across all sorts of platforms. And that doesn't just happen.

You'll need to be experienced and capable of handling the sort of systems and codebase that lie behind ZDNet, Silicon. CNET, GameSpot, TV.com and the other parts of CBS Interactive's ever-growing empire. That means dealing with teams around the world, having the nous to contribute to our future plans, and the flexibility and ingenuity to come up with practical and effective solutions to any number of short, medium and long term challenges.

You'll be based in the London office, and will be working alongside a lot of motivated, opinionated, talented and generally caffeinated people whose lives consist of making all those sites, brands and ideas work.

It's a lot of work. It's not a lot of dull.

Interested? Check out the job spec (pdf) and if it still looks good, you'll know what to do next.
