Logitech polls consumers from several nations for its Global Remote Control Trends Study, revealing its findings on the company's blog. In the past it's found that almost half of respondents have four or more remotes in their living rooms. Now Logitech has some info on where we eventually find those remotes when we inevitably misplace them.

Not surprisingly, the most common place is the good old couch: 49 percent of those surveyed found it in those cushions. More interesting is where else people located their remote, even if it's more the exception than the rule. Eight percent found it in the bathroom, while another eight percent left it in a dresser drawer.

Four percent must like their remotes chilled, as they located it in the refrigerator or the freezer. Finally, two percent wound up taking the device all the way outside or into their cars.
