Why not a Skype Me (or similar) functionality on Facebook?

Update: There is a type of SkypeMe application for Facebook. Not the kind I talk about in this post, but here.

Now, I bare my Facebook profile to the world.

But no, you are not hallucinating (at least I hope not).

I say this because I have mashed in a "Skype Me" icon into the screen capture of my Facebook profile.

What I'd really like to do is hack that Skype Me" icon into my Facebook itself.

The most convenient and secure way to enable this feature would be for Facebook to install a Skype Me (or similar service) widget into the user profile settings. Something such as "enable my Friends to Skype Me" option, along with a radio button.

See that way, if I wanted to talk to one or more of my Facebook friends, and their intentions and configuration were similarly inclined, we could do just that with a click of a button.
